Transparency Report

First-party metrics from AppsInsight's live directory — apps scored, reviews published, appeals logged, and rank movement — refreshed weekly from the same data that powers the site.

Live rules Human reviewed Revenue separated

This report is generated from AppsInsight’s live directory data — not vendor submissions or estimates. Every number below is computed from the same database that powers scores, rankings, and reviews on the site. The snapshot refreshes weekly after the full score pass.

Beyond the directory snapshot, this report includes week-over-week deltas, category score benchmarks for the largest app categories, and a commercial separation section that counts sponsored IT listings separately from editorial featured apps.

Report generated September 12, 2026 10:25 am from live directory data. Refreshed weekly after the full score pass.

What this report is for

Software directories rarely show their own health metrics. We publish ours so buyers, vendors, and quality raters can verify that AppsInsight is active, moderated, and improving. If appeals are rising, scores are stale, or review volume drops, it shows up here first.

Frequently asked questions

How often is this report updated?
The snapshot refreshes weekly after the full AppsInsight Score pass and category rank snapshots. The "report generated" timestamp on the page shows when the current numbers were computed.
Can vendors influence these numbers?
No. Every metric is computed from live directory data — published apps, approved reviews, and logged appeals. Payment and advertising have no effect on what appears here.
Where does the data come from?
From the same database and cron jobs that power scores, rankings, and moderation on AppsInsight. See Where Our Data Comes From for the full pipeline.
Why publish this at all?
Buyers and quality raters should be able to verify that a directory is active and accountable. Publishing our own health metrics is part of that accountability.
