Listing on AppsInsight is free. Apps go through a guided submission wizard and human review before publication; IT companies list through the directory submission flow or by claiming an existing profile. Verification is earned, never bought.
List your app
Submit your app through the Add App wizard: provide your website and core details, and our research assistant pre-fills what it can from your own site for you to review and correct. Submissions require a complete profile — logo, description, category, platforms, and pricing model — and every submission is reviewed by a human before it goes live.
List your IT company
IT companies join through the directory’s submission flow with the same principle: complete, accurate profiles reviewed before publication. Already listed? Claim your profile instead of creating a duplicate.
Claim an existing profile
If your company or app is already on AppsInsight, use the claim flow on the profile (or start at Claim Listing). Claims are verified before approval. Claiming lets you keep your data current — it does not add score points by itself and never changes your rank.
Verification, explained
- Apps — verification is automated and continuous: install the AppsInsight badge on your website (same domain as your listing) linking back to your profile. We check it when you submit and re-check weekly; if the badge disappears, you get a 7-day grace window before verification — and its 15 score points — are revoked.
- IT companies — the Verified badge is an editorial confirmation of identity and core details by AppsInsight staff.
Vendor domain verification
Apps can additionally prove they control their listed website through DNS TXT or a /.well-known/appsinsight-verification.txt file on the same host. When confirmed, a Domain verified badge appears on the app profile. This is separate from badge verification (the AppsInsight embed) and separate from editorial scores — it confirms technical control of the domain only.
Domain verification is checked during import and can be re-run from the vendor dashboard. Verified domains are counted in our Transparency Report.
What listing costs — and what payment can never buy
Listing, claiming, and verification are free. Optional paid products (such as labeled featured placements) buy visibility in designated, labeled slots only — never a score, an editorial rank, a review decision, or organic position. Full details in How We Make Money.
After you’re listed
Your dashboard includes a Score Booster checklist showing exactly which of the published scoring rules you can still earn — completing your profile, collecting genuine reviews, keeping your listing fresh. The same rules apply to every vendor equally.
