Privacy & How We Handle Your Data

This page explains how AppsInsight handles data across listings, reviews, appeals, and site usage. It is written for buyers and vendors evaluating whether they can trust the platform — not as a substitute for our full legal privacy policy.

What we collect

  • Listing data — product and company profiles submitted by vendors or collected through our research pipeline. See Where Our Data Comes From.
  • Reviews — ratings, text, and optional sub-scores from registered accounts. Reviews are moderated before publication.
  • Appeals — contact email, subject URL, and message text when you submit an appeal. Every appeal is logged with a reference ID.
  • Account data — display name and email for registered users who write reviews or manage listings.
  • Site analytics — standard usage metrics to understand traffic and improve the product (aggregated where possible).

What we do not do

  • We do not sell review content or personal data to vendors for targeting.
  • We do not let vendors pay to access reviewer identities beyond what is already public on published reviews.
  • We do not auto-publish scraped or AI-extracted data without human approval.

Retention

Published listings and reviews remain available while they are accurate and relevant. Appeals are retained for accountability and audit purposes. Account data is kept while the account is active; you may request deletion subject to moderation and legal requirements.

Security

AppsInsight is served over HTTPS. Review submissions pass spam protection. Administrative access to appeals and moderation queues is restricted to staff. We recheck verification badges weekly and log methodology changes on every Trust Center page.

Your rights

Depending on your location you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold. Use Appeals & Corrections for factual disputes on listings, or contact us through the channels in our full privacy policy.
