Appeals & Corrections

Dispute a factual error, a review, a rank, or a badge decision. Every appeal is logged with a reference ID and read by a person — and outcomes follow our published methodology.

Live rules Human reviewed Revenue separated

Anyone — vendor, reviewer, or reader — can dispute a factual error, a review, a rank, or a badge decision on AppsInsight. Every appeal is logged with a reference ID and read by a person, and outcomes are decided against our published methodology, not against who is asking.

Correcting factual errors

Wrong pricing, outdated features, incorrect company details: tell us what is wrong and, if possible, link to evidence. Confirmed errors are corrected, and the page’s last-updated date reflects the fix.

Disputing a review

Reviews are removed only for violations of our review guidelines — conflicts of interest, no first-hand experience, factual impossibility, abuse. A negative but genuine review is not removable, at any price.

Disputing a rank or score

Scores and ranks are computed from published rules, and every app profile shows its full point breakdown. If you believe an input is wrong — an unverified badge, a missing review, stale data — appeal the input and the score will recalculate automatically once corrected. We do not adjust scores by hand.

Claim disputes

If your claim to a listing was rejected, or someone else has claimed a profile you believe is yours, appeal with proof of ownership (a domain email address or a verifiable company role).

Badge revocations

App verification badges are re-checked weekly. If the check fails, you get a 7-day grace window to restore the badge before verification is revoked. If you believe a revocation was a technical error — a site migration, a temporary outage — appeal and we will re-run the check.

Submit an appeal

Our commitment

Every appeal gets a reference ID the moment it is submitted and is read by a member of our team — not a bot. We aim to respond within five business days. Appealing never affects your rank, score, or review standing, in either direction. Aggregate appeal counts are published in our Transparency Report.

Frequently asked questions

How fast will I hear back?
We aim to respond within five business days. Your reference ID confirms the appeal is logged the moment you submit.
What gets removed versus corrected?
Factual errors are corrected in place with an updated last-modified date. Reviews are removed only for guideline violations. Scores are never hand-adjusted — we fix wrong inputs and let the score recalculate.
Can I appeal anonymously?
We need an email address to reply and to verify ownership claims, but your appeal is not published anywhere and your identity is not shared with the vendor or reviewer involved.
Will appealing hurt my rank or score?
No. Appeals have no effect on ranks, scores, or review standing in either direction — outcomes depend only on the published methodology.
