Our verdict

I would shortlist Rowform for a small team that wants conversational forms without a response-count bill. The free plan removes a common barrier to testing a real survey, and the documented builder goes beyond a simple question list with logic, scoring, imports and reporting.

The paid decision is mostly about control and follow-up. Custom branding and domains matter for client work; partial responses and recovery matter when an unfinished form represents a lost lead. The lifetime option deserves a careful checkout review rather than an automatic recommendation: future service availability still depends on the vendor.

I would test a representative form before migrating. Imports leave logic, themes and integrations behind, and a working first draft is not the same as a validated workflow. Check consent, response access and recovery-email rules before collecting sensitive information or contacting respondents. Documented API limits also matter for busy automation jobs.

This is a desk-research review by Ashley Richmond based on Rowform's official website, pricing, builder and integration guides, billing guide, privacy policy, terms, DPA and subprocessor list. I inspected the vendor's published builder and analytics screenshots and signed-out app route. I did not create an account, collect submissions, test integrations, buy a plan or benchmark completion rates. The score reflects the documented product and its limits, not a hands-on performance test.

Rowform is a web-based conversational form builder founded by Arjun Premkumar. It presents questions one at a time and combines AI-assisted drafts, templates, branching logic and response reporting. Its advertised audience includes founders, agencies and teams collecting leads, feedback and survey answers.

Users can start from a template or prompt, then edit questions and design in the builder. Logic and variables support tailored question paths and calculated scores. Typeform, Google Forms and Paperform imports recreate supported form structure, not past responses. Themes, branching and integrations need to be checked and rebuilt after import; the original form does not stay in sync.

Completed submissions appear in a table and can be exported to CSV. The Summary tab shows question breakdowns and NPS results, while Pro analytics tracks views, starts, submissions, completion rate and completion time. Pro also adds partial-response reporting, refill links and abandoned-form recovery. A refill link can update a completed submission in place. Public summary sharing is optional and should be enabled only for results safe to share.

Published guides cover Google Sheets, Slack, Notion, Calendly and Zapier. Notion mapping connects questions to database properties. The documented API uses scoped keys and rate limits of 60 requests per hour per key per endpoint. Zapier can poll for new submissions or use the documented webhook path. These are documented connections, not integrations tested for this review.

The advertised Free plan costs $0 and includes unlimited forms and responses. Pro costs $20 per month, or $17 per month equivalent when billed annually. A $399 one-time Lifetime plan is also advertised. Paid features include branding removal, custom domains, fonts and metadata, redirects, partial responses, recovery, team access and advanced analytics. The site uses trial language on buttons, but the help guide describes a free-forever plan rather than a separate timed trial.

The live billing guide updated September 22 supports purchases and cancellation through billing/customer-portal controls. A fetched version of the same help URL returned older September 6 text saying online purchases were unavailable. The newer browser page and marketing pricing agree; buyers should confirm the plan and total at checkout. This review did not sign in or test a purchase. Refunds depend on the purchase terms and applicable law rather than an advertised blanket guarantee.

Rowform says primary response data is hosted with Supabase in Frankfurt, Germany. Its subprocessor list also names Vercel, ZeptoMail, CookieYes and Crisp. Some services operate globally or in other regions, so EU primary storage does not mean all processing remains in the EU. Its privacy policy says it does not sell personal data. Published GDPR and processor commitments are policy statements, not evidence of an independent security certification.
