Our verdict

Databox has moved from dashboards to an AI-first analytics layer: a semantic layer, an AI analyst and an MCP server over 130+ connected tools. It has a real free tier and a 14-day trial on paid plans, and a dedicated plan for agencies.

Databox is a business analytics platform that pulls your performance data from other tools into dashboards, reports and goals, and now adds an AI layer on top. Its homepage calls it an “agentic analytics platform”: an AI analyst you can question in plain language, agents and automations for recurring analysis, and an MCP server so outside AI tools can work from the same trusted data.

Databox says it connects 130+ tools, spreadsheets, databases and APIs. On top of the data sit a semantic layer that gives each metric one shared definition, data governance controls, and the classic BI pieces: metrics and KPIs, dashboards and reports, and goals and OKRs. Who it suits

Agencies reporting on many client accounts, and marketing or revenue teams that want one place for KPIs plus an AI assistant that works from governed numbers.

Who it's for

Best for

  • Agencies and marketing or revenue teams that need KPIs from many tools in one place
  • with an AI analyst answering questions from the same data.

Not ideal for

  • Teams that need a full data warehouse and heavy custom modeling
  • or buyers who want one flat price
  • since AI credits
  • data sources and add-ons all change the bill.

How we tested

AppsInsight desk research, 5 October 2026. We read Databox's homepage and pricing page, with the annual-billing toggle on. Prices shown are per month billed annually; we did not capture monthly-billing prices or the Team Scale price. We did not test the product. Integration and customer counts are Databox's own claims.
