Full review

SchoolDoc is a web-based student health records system for K-12 schools and youth programs. The company says it was designed by school nurses and medical directors, and that more than 1,250 schools and programs use it. It sits in the same family as CampDoc, which covers camps.

Health records and forms

Schools replace paper health forms with digital ones that use conditional logic, so a parent only sees the follow-up questions that apply. The system tracks allergies and immunizations, lets nurses log clinic visits in SOAP format, and includes behavioral health management. Parents upload forms and sign waivers through a portal, and the platform sends reminder emails for anything still missing.

Medication administration

The eMAR module charts each dose as given, not given, pending or in error, with staff initials, date and time recorded automatically. SchoolDoc says it is built on the Five Rights of medication administration and sends real-time

The eMAR module charts each dose as given, not given, pending or in error, with staff initials, date and time recorded automatically. SchoolDoc says it is built on the Five Rights of medication administration and sends real-time alerts for scheduled doses, with the medication history kept in one place.

Access controls and compliance

Permission profiles control who can create profiles, send emails and texts, run reports, and view or edit features such as eMAR, finances and behavior logs, which matters when only some staff should see protected health information. The vendor describes the platform as HIPAA, FERPA and SOC 2 compliant; ask for current documentation during procurement.

Pricing

The SchoolDoc pricing page lists plans starting at $425 per month, with onboarding, training, support and compliance included. Pricing is tailored to program size and needs, so larger districts should expect a quote.

Limits

There is no free plan, and the site does not publish a full price ladder, so budgeting for a district means a sales conversation. It is also a web platform, with no separate native school nurse app described on the site.
